- D1.1 – Collaborative website
The Deliverable D1.1 contains the description of the SOPRANO private collaborative website used to facilitate the cooperation and communication between the partners, as well as the management and coordination of the tasks. This private website is considered as a powerful alternative to e-mail communication, avoiding the generation of multiple versions of a common document, and is thus a central tool within the Work Package 1: « Management and Coordination ».
- D1.2 – Management Plan and Guidelines
The Deliverable D1.2 provides the SOPRANO Management Handbook containing all work plan related information and describes common project processes, methods and tools. As Coordinator, SAFRAN is responsible of the elaboration of this Deliverable, included in the Work Package 1: « Management and Coordination », and which will be further developed through updates on the collaborative website all along the project, with a systematic approval from the General Assembly.
- D2.2 – Determination of feasible operation
In the WP2 task 2.1.2 “Soot oxidation experiments” two main goals are intended. First, the adaptation of the high-temperature flow reactor for soot oxidation. Second, investigating the soot oxidation Under well-controlled conditions to provide a deeper insight into the particle oxidation processes. This document describes the firt goal: (1) the identification of the soot sources, (2) the adaptation of the soot source to the reactor facility, (3) the adaptation of particle samping and detection system to the reactor and (4) results of initial experiments to determine feasible operation conditions.
- D2.19 – Simulation of DLR experiment based on Baseline soot model
This document describes the validation of a baseline two-equation soot model against labscale flames, including the DLR FIRST experiment. Moreover, a number of variants of the two-equation soot model, which have been proposed by Imperial College, were implemented into the Rolls-Royce in-house combustion CFD code PRECISE-UNS and validated against the same labscale flames. The flames used for validation are a Sandia turbulent ethylene diffusion flame and the DLR FIRST flame. Results obtained with the baseline two-equation soot model as well as six Imperial College-recommended combinations of sub-models and parameter values were compared with measurements and further recommendations were issued for the downselection of the models to be used for the subsequent validation against RRUK combustors.
- D3.3 – Specification for test article and CFD test case
In the WP3 task 3.2 « Understanding of heat transfer and cooling » two main experimental activities have been planned. In order to complete the test campaigns two new rig had to be designed and manufactured by the partners. This document describes the GE Avio requirements and provides the information necessary for the design of the two test rig.
- D3.9 – Specification for test case
In the WP3 task 3.2 « Understanding of heat transfer and cooling » a detailed experimental investigation on effusion cooling has been planned. A new five sector rig will be designed and manufactured by University of Florence with the objective to investigate the interaction between swirler and effusion cooling. This document describes the GE Avio requirements for the new rig and provides the information necessary for the hardware design and the validation of the numerical tools developed in the SOPRANO project.
- D5.1 – Dissemination Plan
The Deliverable D5.1 describes how the results of SOPRANO are made public to promote and support the generated knowledge and methodologies. It presents in particular the elaboration of the communication tools for the visual identity, and the partner’s actual plans in dissemination and publication as well. As Coordinator, SAFRAN is responsible of the elaboration of this dissemination plan, included in the Work Package 5: « Dissemination and Exploitation », and which is dedicated to be updated yearly after a systematic approval from the General Assembly.
- D5.2 – Public website
The Deliverable D5.2 contains the description of the SOPRANO public website (http://www.soprano-h2020.eu) used to support the overall communication, providing access to key documents, and promote the main benefits from the project in terms of impact regarding soot’s emissions and PSD prediction for the industrials and research communities, as well as the citizen. As Coordinator, SAFRAN is responsible of the development and the maintenance of this website, included in the Work Package 5: « Dissemination and Exploitation ».
- D5.3 – Knowledge portfolio
This document is the first released version of the Deliverable D5.3: »Knowledge Portfolio » gathering the background and generated foreground in the project. Based on this portfolio, the SOPRANO partners will prepare detailed exploitation plans, which will be finalized towards the end of the project through the SOPRANO exploitation plan. It will also serve as a key tool for dissemination and future use of the project results. As Coordinator, SAFRAN is responsible of the elaboration of this portfolio, included in the Work Package 5: « Dissemination and Exploitation », and which portfolio will be maintained and updated throughout the project after a systematic approval from the General Assembly.
