The Department of Industrial Engineering was founded in 2013, from the fusion of two departments of the Florence’s industrial area: the Department of Energy « Sergio Stecco » and the Dpartment of Mechanics and Technology. The research activity of the department covers the industrial engineering sectors with cutural, scientific and professional aspects. The common objective of research achieve genuine and meaningful results for a real technological innovation. The Department promotes collaborations with internationally Centers of Researchs and Universities, both italian and foreign. It also contributes to technological growth through the activation of agreements for research and development with companies, Italian and foreign institutions.
